My turn signals have gone all wonky. The “off” position signals right continually , and trying to signal either left or right just signals left. And yes, I’ve confirmed that the signals are actually flashing outside the car too. I’m going to blame the biblical rains we had yesterday. Hopefully it fixes itself once everything dries out because I am NOT looking forward to having to troubleshoot this.

Just disconnect the fuse?

Fintail’s signals shit the bed a few months ago. I am convinced the issue is with the assembly at the base of the stalk. I’m not going to take it apart, as I’ll break something and never get it back together - I’ll just wait til the car goes in for its yearly service, as half the people around here don’t signal anyway.

It was coming no matter what.

Anyway, try disconnecting battery and reconnecting after 10 min? Might be a good first start without much headache unless battery is a pain to get to.

You didn't drive to work because your turn signal was wonky? Just tell the cop the turn signal just broke. It's not like they lock you up for that.

Hand signals? Will be pretty funny seeing someone in a BMW do this.

Brings back memories, I actually grew up in a place where people using hand signals wasn’t uncommon when I was a kid (in the 90s).

Yeah, I'm sure that's true, but, I'm also sure that if you were stopped you could explain that you are getting the signals fixed and they will likely give a warning or possibly a fix-it ticket.

Sure it’s not what I would prefer either, but I’ve done it before in all kinds of weather.  Absolutely better than walking in the same weather.
